I’m very excited for this new Meet the Teacher linky party! I can’t wait to read all about some of my favorite teacher-bloggers, and I hope some of you enjoy reading about me, too!
As you may know, my name is Gina. I was born and raised in Long Island, NY, but moved to CT for college and decided to stay here and teach. I am 24 years old and have one brother named Michael. I have a fabulous boyfriend, Niko, who I met on college move in day, and am still in love with my puppy, Reilly (who I had to sadly put down in March). My friends and family will agree that I desperately need a new puppy, because I keep talking about Reilly as if he is still with us {just a bit obsessed}. Last year was my first year teaching kindergarten, and I can’t wait for this year’s new adventures in kindergarten to begin!
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS…
Dogs, sparkles, pink, zebra, any type of dessert, blogging, going to the gym, watching TV, ice cream, sleeping!
IF YOU WEREN’T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?
Believe it or not, I almost opened my own bakery a few years back. So, I’d have to say that’s what I would be doing!
THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.
Passionate. Outgoing. Caring.
FINISH THE SENTENCE, “________, SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!”
“Yay, it’s Monday!”
Q: IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?
Taylor Swift because I LOVE HER!
Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?
Eat Dessert First- it’s my life motto {even hanging in my kitchen!}
Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?
Teleporting! I absolutely cannot stand TRAFFIC or when it takes forever to get somewhere. I always just want to be where I need to be immediately.
Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?
“What’s meant to be will always find a way.”
Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Beautiful by One Direction. I practice in my car a lot.
Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?
Night Owl! I absolutely hate waking up in the morning. It is my least favorite part of the day.
Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU’VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?
Back to School Teacher Must Haves! I have gotten such great feedback on this product, and I am so happy that I can make some of your lives a little easier!
Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!
I wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade! My basement was a classroom when I was little, and my brother’s friends would ask if our mom was a teacher. {Sadly, no, I just asked for gift certificates to teaching stores for Christmas and my birthday…}
I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know a little bit about me! Click the picture below to meet some of your other favorite teacher-bloggers!

I can relate to having your own classroom as a kid! I used to take a spiral notebook and draw grids with a ruler to create my own lesson plan book! Hope you have a great school year!

Teleporting! Awesome idea. I have driving half an hour to and from work every single day! A teleported would just make my life.
Have a great year!

I also always wanted to be a teacher! I agree with your dessert obsession. The hubs and I eat out on Friday and only order dessert! It's the best supper of the week! Thanks for sharing!

Teachers Are Terrific!

I was so the same, playing teacher as a kid. It was so much simpler then without all the meetings 😛
